The Cities of the Future
I, being a young person, and very curious as to what my future will hold in regards to sustainability and green innovation. At my high school, Bishop O'Dowd, we recently built a Center for Environmental Studies which possesses many sustainable, green qualities. For example, the building is built to utilize rainwater efficiently and the bathrooms use grey water instead of drinking-quality water. This building inspires me so much and I always think about how my city can start to be more sustainable and beneficial to the environment. The thought of an extremely sustainable city is amazing and I really hope that cities around the world can focus on utilizing technology and innovation to benefit our wonderful, generous planet. Does anyone else feel the same way? Does anyone have an interest in green architecture in this discussion board? I think our generation can really do some good for our planet in the future.
