Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Aspects of a Sustainable City
When pursuing sustainable development, we must address how we build and manage our urban spaces as we incorporate green building design, safe/affordable housing, access to public transportation, and public green spaces. One aspect of green building is optimization of energy use through passive solar design such as proper insolation and strategic landscaping. Use of public transportation rather than driving greatly reduces carbon emissions. Green spaces such as a community garden or tree-filled plazas not only help reduce carbon emissions, but also encourage residents to seek fresh air; for example, the remodeling of the Bay Street Plaza in Emeryville, described as an “urban ecological overlay” by the employed landscape architects, enhances the aesthetics of the district whilst educating visitors about eco-friendly design. Sustainability is about both the design/construction and the influence of people’s mindset.
I agree, a sustainable city is an amazing goal to reach. Having a green city is better for everyone. There are less carbon emissions, people feel more happy because nature is around them, and there is less pollution. Modern architects should shift more towards an eco-friendly urban setting for sustainable cities to begin appearing.
