Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

As mayor I would limit the use of cars to avoid pollution and also require people to use eco-friendly cars so that we keep our environment safer. Burning fossil fuels would also be limited and carbon will be limited. People will also start to walk and bike more often rather than driving to limit the pollution. I would also start to require people to recycle to keep our city clean, and if people don’t recycle there would be a fine that would help fund our city.
Just changing transportation and forcing recycling wouldn't be enough, you would probably have to install solar panels everywhere so you don't burn coal to make your power, and you would have to seriously enforce recycling to get rid of human urges to litter. you could also solve the waste problem by making everything compostable.
then, no matter where it's put, you can sweep everything into a compost pile.
