Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Sustainable City
A sustainable city would use renewable energy sources like solar power, hydroelectricity, and wind power. The citizens in the city should be either growing their own food or buying locally produced foods so energy would be saved from transporting the food. Some of the roads should be replaced with bike lanes so people wouldn't be as afraid to get on their bikes to get to their destination safely while being environmentally friendly. Solar panels could also be installed above apartments because it will get its solar energy quicker and easier.
I agree and like the idea of replacing bike lanes and side walks to encourage more people to commute by walking or biking. Updating the infrastructure on roads to create a safer pathway can help encourage citizens to transfer that way also. More ideas to sustain carbon is to have public transportation create a more affordable option, or create multiple options of public transportation. I agree with the idea of installing solar panels to reduce carbon, and can be installed upon government owned properties: schools, business buildings, residences, etc. Using these ideas can be a start of a new sustainable city.
