Grayson: Mooresville, NC, USA (Age 16)
My name is Grayson and I am a 16 year old from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. My carbon footprint is a total of 20,260 kilograms which is about 5,000 kilograms higher than the North Carolina average carbon footprint. The majority of my carbon footprint is revolved around transportation. The cars that my family use don't have the greatest gas mileage and we travel a lot locally on a weekly basis so this consuming the majority of my carbon footprint wasn't that surprising. I was surprised; however, by how high my total carbon footprint was. My family recycles as much as possible and do not make many purchases. Seeing that transportation was my largest downfall in my effect on the environment, I will attempt to watch how we use our cars. When it comes to the time I am able to make my own decisions about my car, I will make sure to take the gas mileage into consideration
