Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

A Sustainable City
The best and most sustainable city would contain little to no waste. Energy would come from clean energy sources such as wind turbines and/or solar panels. Only small amounts of fossil fuels would be burned. No fossil fuels would be burned in the same quantities as they are today. This would prevent global warming as not as much of the warmth of the sun would be captured. Instead of gas burning cars, there would be either electric cars, bikes, walking, and skateboarding. This will greatly decrease the amount of greenhouse gasses emitted. I read that in Paris, a "day without cars" was held. This decreased air pollution by 40%. Imagine how much we can fight global warming just by finding another way of transportation.
