Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Use 98% less water. It's possible.
A simple nozzle in every home could save most of the 40 million gallons going down the drain everyday in the city of Los Angeles, and 240 million gallons in Shanghai. Everyday. A project on KickStarter, the Altered:Nozzle, atomizes water into a high speed mist that makes it possible to use 98% less water than regular taps. Since the mist covers more surface area than a normal flowing sink, less water is needed. If you needed a heavier flow, just change it to regular saving mode and still save 75% of the water used in an average household. Saving water means saving money as well, in the US you could save $255 a year, that's €228 a year in Europe. Currently you can get it for as little as $48 (€43) for one nozzle which basically pays for itself in a few months. I believe this is a great start to a great water-conserving community.

The misting altered sink does seem much more efficient, and using less water would improve people's carbon footprint. The only problem with this is that according on the price, people might not be able to afford the piece or find where to buy it since it is just now on Kickstarter. If big companies advertised and sold it, more people would discover it and hopefully buy it to decrease the amount of water they use.
Wow, this sounds pretty great. But where does your data come from? Some sources listed here would make me feel much more comfortable beliving this.
This is SO cool!
