Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

In order to help cities reduce pollution and bad carbon emissions and become more environmentally friendly, we can do multiple things. More environmentally conscious public transportation like electric buses and such could be used. City gardens to help people grow their own produce locally could be planted. To encourage people to walk and ride bikes more as a form of transportation, more bike lanes and sidewalks could be implemented throughout cities. These things will help reduce carbon emissions.
I agree, there are many things a city could do to reduce carbon emissions. A huge factor would be using only electric cars/buses or hybrid vehicles because on average a passenger vehicle will emit about 4.7 metric tons of CO2 per year. If this polluting factor could be taken out of a city, the city could be one of the cleanest and greenest cities in the world and would definitely attract lots of people. On top of that there is even more you could do to further reduce CO2 emissions which would further help the atmosphere and your community.
