Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

A Sustainable City
An ideal sustainable city would run completely on renewable energy like solar, water, and wind power. It would have solar powered cars and bicycles that save energy. Every house would run on renewable energy and would have a garden in the back where people grow their own vegetables. It would reflect sunlight into rooms during the day, eliminating the need for electric lights, and it would use extremely efficient bulbs during the evening. The city would have an extremely low carbon footprint because of these aspects and would keep everyone very healthy.
These are really good ideas for a sustainable city. Renewable energy is really important if we hope to drastically reduce our carbon footprint in the future. With our current technology, I think we could invest in making this a reality. Unfortunately, not enough people are aware of the importance of turning around the detrimental impact we've had on the earth. It is so important to educate people about climate change and other global issues and how we can try to fix them with ideas like yours.
