Throughout major cities, people spend hours ever year just stuck in traffic which results in burning through gasoline just by waiting on the road. The use of public transit should increase to get more people off the road and less gasoline burning. Much of carbon dioxide emissions come from powering, cooling, and heating buildings. There should be efforts to better insulate buildings and create more efficient ventilation equipment. Those are just some of the many things we can do to create a more sustainable city.

I agree with Sehaj about the idea of using public transit. We should use our cars as little as we can by carpooling or using other forms of transportation. His idea of insulated buildings can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide used, and can also save lots of money for homes. We could also create city gardens instead of getting food from other states so we could reduce the amount of fossil fuel (gas) used in our community. Our food would taste better and we could regulate the quality of our food.

I agree. I have many reasons to agree with your post because it makes alot of sense. the only thing i have a problem with is the fact that alot of people do not have access to public gransportation. Like me i live very far from any public transport and i wouldnt be able to help out
