There will be a lot more bikes and public transportation by horse. There will also be a lot of controlled fires lit up in set places for light. There will also be all electric cars that are really expensive so less people use them.

M'kai, your idea on " controlled fires lit up in set places" seems UNsustainable and dangerous. Maybe consider LED lights or solar panels, not fires.

Or you could use hydrogen fuel cell vehicles that produce water as exhaust. If everyone had fuel cell vehicles like the toyota mirai than the only biproduct of cars would be fresh-ish water.

I agree with the first comment. I don't know if you realized this, but burning wood emits carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide (in smaller quantities) and NOx which is a benefactor to acid rain.

Having "transportation by horse" would in fact be much more sustainable than cars overall but if you lived in a larger, more modern city it might be harder to get places and would take much longer. Electric cars, like you mentioned would be very efficient if you switched the majority of normal care with electric.

Wood burns CO2. Replace that with light bulbs ruled by a renewable energy. Also, electric cars aren't the best solution. To save energy, use either public transportation, or hydrogen cars. Doing all this could make your city a pretty amazing place to live in.

There are so many things that could go wrong with your suggestion. If there was transportation by horse how would the horses rest? And if you were in a modern city horses can't walk on concrete for long periods of time. And if you would have controlled fires you would be emitting a lot of CO2 into the atmosphere. But the electric car idea was pretty profound though.

I like the idea of making public transportation emission free and encouraging biking. Also, I also think that economically discouraging people from using transportation that creates emissions is good idea because it would force people to be more fiscally responsible when making purchases that could harm the environment. However, you might want to think about not having "controlled fires", as they produce emissions and could hurt people and local agriculture.
