My Carbon Footprint (Re-post)
Hello everyone,
My name is Hillary. I'm from Florida, United States and currently attend St. John's River State College. When I did this Carbon Foot-printing activity, I was excited and interested in what my results would be in the end. I tried my hardest to be as truthful as possible and my results kind of shocked me a bit. It was interesting to see how the littlest things such as the amount of trash bags and the length of a shower can affect my carbon footprint.
My results include:
Transportation: 4155 kg.
Home: 16096 kg.
Food: 3241 kg.
Purchases: 379 kg.
Well, with living with three other people these results do make lot of sense. I just have to make sure I shut off and unplug all electronics when they're not being used.
I found this website that I might just start following when it comes to lowering this carbon footprint.
