If I own a medium sized city and you wanted to keep the carbon low I would have people use bikes and walk instead of spending money on cars and gas just to drive a half a mile to a store when you could just walk. Instead of just using non-Eco friendly power you could use solar panels to power your house and save it for nights and during the day you can use sunlight. I would personally want to live in this city to spend less money and have a less amount of carbon footprint. My city would look a lot better than other cities that use a lot of energy.

I can relate to your style of thinking because I do believe that there should be a stricter regulation on motored vehicles and where they can be appropriately driven. However, if you live in an area where walking distance is not an option, then there's a problem. Maybe we could start to incorporate more bus lines throughout neighborhoods connecting to towns and cities. Buses are pretty efficient and contain the most mpg per person, which could potentially cut down an excessive amount of emission from the tailpipes of cars that only carry 1-4 persons.
