Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Sustainable Clothing- Local Ranches
From a presentation at my school, I heard of Fibershed, a company founded by Rebecca Burges focusing on making clothing that comes from local sheep. This sustainable methods reduces products that contribute to contamination, such as polyester and spandex. Local farms are already producing a lot of wool, and it would be a waste to throw these materials away.
Our clothing should include local materials, to support sustainability and local economies. This would bring us a step closer to a sustainable city, starting with local markets.
