Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

For this made up city that I'm the (most likely illegal) mayor of, I would propose to install solar glass into almost every building's window. That way, more sunlight can be turned into energy, while still having the sleek glass we all know and love. Another action I would take to lessen this city's carbon footprint is to encourage the use of the bus system instead of taking your own car. Finally, I would propose the construction of solar roads, in order to lessen the city's dependency on fossil fuels. This is all I have so far, feel free to reply with any more suggestions!
Sounds like a great idea! However, what is solar glass and solar roads? And if you were to install this solar glass into every window you must factor in the costs for just one pane of glass and multiply it by the number of windows in your city. Best of Luck!
I would propose that, as well as the other measures already covered by your all-inclusive urban makeover, you add hydroelectric plants, geothermal plants, natural gas plants, and/or windmills as your environment permits.
