Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Extra Food- What to do Instead of Tossing It
We all have eaten a meal and had leftover food. Instead of just throwing it away, why not compost the leftovers? Most food can be composted. Composts are a great way to put those leftovers to use instead of throwing them away. They provide nutrition for your garden and plants. Also, what if your family agreed to have a leftover night? Instead of throwing away leftovers, you can save them for another night. Lastly, you could take the food to a local shelter where people may be in need of a meal. Not only is that environmentally friendly, but you are also helping those in need. For further information, read this link: http://eds.a.ebscohost.com/eds/pdfviewe … 2&hid=4210
