Faith Sylvester: Mooresville, NC, USA (Age 16)
I’m Faith, a sixteen year old from Mooresville, North Carolina (U.S.A.). My total carbon footprint was 15,530 kgs. In my region, it’s about the same as the average. Globally, my footprint is much higher than the average of 3,791. The majority of my carbon footprint came from transportation. My carbon footprint was a lot higher than I expected. It surprised me how much my driving around effected the footprint. I learned that I need to start carpooling so that I have less of an impact on the environment.
Hi Faith. My footprint was below average for our region, being around 9000. This means my footprint was way higher than the global average as well. Whereas most of your footprint came from transportation, most of mine came from food, as I had low transportation and home values. I think if I could drive I'd probably have a larger footprint in transportation, since I would want to go around all the time.
