Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing Your Carbon Footprint
After calculating my carbon footprint and seeing that it was much higher than the average footprint for a person in the United States, I went in search of ways to reduce it. I found a site that offers simple every day things that you can do in order to reduce your footprint. One of the examples was to unplug your gadgets. When you are not charging your phone, unplug the charger from the wall. I never thought about how that could affect my footprint. My charger is plugged in to the wall 24/7. Changes to my every day habits will definitely be made in order to reduce my footprint.
