Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

China, Change Carbon Footprints
I am Emma Law from China. My total footprint is 11,281kgs of CO2 per year. Comparing to my classmates, I am neither the highest nor the lowest, in fact, I am in the middle. But compare to the average, I am much more higher.
By observation, I can easily find out that the most waste part is the travel vehicles part. Even though, I will not give up traveling around the world but I will try to use bicycles or on foot or I can share with other people who would like to go to the same place with me in local place.
Following the travel vehicles is the clothing buying part. I haven't thought of buying clothes will impact the carbon footprint and for solving this problems, I will try to buy the clothes not with the plastic bags and when I go shopping, I will take a recycle bag with me.
Besides, I will turn off the light every time when I leave and take a shorter shower as well. Those personal, small things may not help a lot if just one individuals do so but if everyone can try to do that, it must be helpful
My most wasteful part is transportation too. Using bicycles and other cleaner ways of travel is a very good idea, however, this doesn't mean you should stop traveling the world. After all, we are all human and were going to be polluting no matter what.
