Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing my carbon footprint pt. 2
The second largest category that took up my carbon footprint was food. I eat very healthy however, My food is not organic nor is it locally grown. I was at a loss as to how I can reduce my carbon footprint on the food side but then I found a webiste called shrinkthatfootpring.com. Here is the link: http://shrinkthatfootprint.com/shrink-y … -footprint. Some ideas I got from it are to alter my diet to a more vegetarian based diet. I can also shop at places where the food is locally grown.
That's a great idea, thank you for sharing a link to help others on how to reduce their food category. I was also shocked by one of my categories, like how you were shocked that your food was high. My transportation was really high, it just makes you realize how much you actually do that impacts the environment. What is your largest category? How do you plan on reducing that one?
