Hello the world~ Im Joe from China. Based on my carbon footprint, my total footprint is 20737 kgs of CO2 per year! This is inconceivable! So Im gonna change myself ! For instance, I'll reuse the plastic bags and use the both side of the paper to reduce the waste of carbon. Besides, transportation is also a extremely important way to reduce it. For instance, I can go to a nearly
place by bike or on foot! Or go to some place by public bus if there has this vehicle. Hopefully my changes may contribute to our gorgeous Earth.
Hey there! I'm from the USA and my carbon footprint was lower than yours, but not by much. You say that transportation was a major contributor to your Carbon Footprint. That's interesting to me because it was one of my lowest (beside purchases). Mine was mainly food that was the issue. While I do drive a lot, I typically share the car with 9 other people (my family), so that lessens my individual impact. I love walking around places, and I wish I were able to bike more places, but here in Mooresville, NC, the town is just so busy it may be dangerous to ride my bike! I wish I were able to though because that is such a good idea! I love that you call the earth "our gorgeous Earth". I totally agree and l LOVE that phrasing!
Hey! Im from FL,, USA and i also used less than you! I used 19,145 kg, and i used the most in my house. I live with 10 other people and we try out best to be energy efficient with low flow toilets and longer lasting light bulbs but we still struggle to be environmentally friendly.
Wow, I love your enthusiasm about reducing your carbon footprint, I think it really shows you care about what this discussion is meant for. Anyways, I agree that transportation contributes to a lot of our carbon footprints, as is the case with me, since the majority of my resource usage came from when I drive myself to work and anywhere else I need to go. However, I drive most of my friends, so while I'm not reducing my carbon footprint I'm helping reduce that footprints of many of my friends. However, like you said there are other ways to reduce it, such as using public transportation or biking/walking. I'm curious as to how available public transportation is where you live, since I live in North Carolina, USA, and in my town the only public transport we can get is a taxi company, which to me is rather inconvenient as a student. Anyways, good luck towards helping out the Earth!
