Hello, everyone my name is Casey. My carbon footprint was well above the average! It was 21,486kgs of CO2 per year. The average is 13,115 for Florida. I use the most CO2 towards transportation, which is 11,822kgs of CO2 per year. This is almost 4 times my regions average. I'm taking an environmental class that is helping me become aware of ways to help reduce my use and improve the environment. I try to carpool as much as possible to help reduce my emission of CO2 with transportation. I've done some research on tips to help people reduce their carbon footprint. A good site I have found helpful with discovering ways the reduce your carbon footprint is http://cotap.org/reduce-carbon-footprint/ . This websites helps with shrinking your transportation carbon footprint; this is my biggest use of CO2. If you don't have a problem with transportation though, there are other tips on this website that show how to limit CO2 with air travel, at home, and more. I strongly recommend looking into this website if you too started questioning on how to reduce your carbon footprint.
For my footprint, it was relatively the same. It actually came mostly from transportation as well. Thanks for including that website. I didn't know that there was such as place to go look at ways to reduce my carbon footprint. This way I can make sure that the steps I'm currently taking are on the right path, Thanks so much and great job on this!

My footprint was well above average as well at 30000 kgs. It was mostly due to my flights to Alaska and back and how I drive a lot in a not so fuel efficient car. I feel on the reg that I am better as this was just a weird year for me.
Hi, Casey! It is interesting that your carbon footprint was above average! In the posts I've been reading through out the past couple of days, it seems that a lot of people's personal carbon footprint is above average. We are both in common when it comes to transportation being the majority of our footprint! I know I use the car all the time, and it really adds up! I bet you feel the same. Carpooling is a very good way to reduce your carbon footprint. That was a great idea!
My average is higher than my state average too. I travel a lot, weekly, and throughout the year, and as a result, most of my carbon footprint comes from transportation. I will try to carpool with others more often to reduce my total footprint.
