A win for the environment! Yesterday, the Obama admin. passed a new regulation for smog-causing emissions. This is an addition to the already enforced restrictions in play since the Bush admin. However, this is much more extensive and should reduce smog which is harmful to not only Mama Earth but also ourselves (think lungs). The EPA administrator also says that this act is crucial in protecting our nations health and reducing medical costs involved in this area. Many opposers to this new regulation believe that it is crushing jobs--even though I do not know if this is necessarily true I believe that it is something, we the next generation need to focus on-- ways to increase and implement jobs that help meet the standards necessary for the conservation of our planet.
