Family Carpool

aubreycusa

My family drives all over our city everyday. I go to school across town and my brother goes to school on the other side of town. My parents work close together, but drive in two different cars. My family uses about 30 gallons (113.6 liters) of gas a week. We own multiple cars that are not fuel efficient. I carpool after school.  I have been encouraging my family to start carpooling, so we can not only save money on gas but help the environment as well.

I ride the bus to school and then I car pool to get home. The cars I carpool in are big Trucks or Jeeps. I think if we put more people in the cars instead of just two or three we could save more money and gas. I think that your parents driving to work together would really help out. I think if you or your brother could carpool with others that go to school near you it would really help. Keep up the good work and great name.

I travel a lot, so carpooling is a great way for me to cut down and reduce my carbon footprint. My car is not fuel efficient, so I try to carpool to help the environment and also save money. I don't carpool as much as I can though, so I have something to work on.

I too have this problem, my dad works really far away and even though where i go to school isnt very far from our home, my brother's school is.  I have a carpool but she only takes me home after school on most days, which im sure doesn't help very much.  I agree with your idea to encourage carpooling but I think that it should extend not only to weekdays to and from school but also on weekends, instead of meeting your friend somewhere, maybe plans should be made for one person to pick up the other and the drive to the chose place.  Also walking places should be encouraged, a little goes a long way and maybeif these things were encouraged it could make a big difference.
