I've been a figure skater for about ten years and have skated at the same rink. We have multiple trash cans but not a single recycle bin. That would be fine, except there are about eighty of us that go there routinely and each of us drinks about one full bottle of water for every hour we practice. I skate about two hours on average every day.  We've tried reusable water bottles but since the only place we can put them is on this ledge, they fall off frequently and crack open(I've tried three different types and they have all cracked). So, my friend and I have been trying to propose the idea of getting a recycle bin for the rink. We would save so much plastic and paper that way! The board leaders have said that it would be a great idea but since we have to pay to put a recycling bin in the rink they wouldn't do it. A few days later, we had found another solution. So, weekly we have been putting all our used water bottles in this one plastic bag and a different pers on would take it home every day and recycle it in their recycle bins by their house. I'd say this was a success.
