When used in a fuel cell, hydrogen can be an alternate fuel source that does not emit carbon dioxide or air pollutants. The only products hydrogen fuel cells produce are water, electricity, and heat. Using hydrogen as an alternate fuel is a great thing, because the hydrogen used could come from things that we might waste. For example, Toyota has videos showing that they can use lemonade as a fuel for cars. They can produce hydrogen from the lemonade and then use the hydrogen as fuel.
