Alternative ways to travel long distances
Many people from countries around the world use cars, trains, and airplanes to travel long distances. They are fast and relatively easy ways to get from one place to another. "A single round trip flight from New York to Europe or San Francisco produces two to three tons of carbon dioxide per person.", says a website called Flying Clean. As you can see airplanes are very dangerous to the environment. I know that trains are much cleaner, but most people seem to use cars more than trains. Is there a way to cut down emissions on airplanes, or is there a way to travel long distances that is more eco friendly?
Airplanes could try to use fuel that is better for the planet, we can also make more train tracks, so trains can go to more places and more people will use them.
If there was more competition in the train industry, trains could become an efficient and green form of long distance travel
