CARBON TAX
Hey y'all! Could we please take a moment to talk about carbon tax- should we have it, or not? I'll check in soon to offer some opinions.

i think it could work really well, but only if was used correctly...
I think that that carbon tax is a great idea that should be implemented into the society of the USA. It was implemented in British Colombia and that has greatly reduced their carbon footprint, there are a couple problems with it though, such as it might cost alot to monitor and administrate it, making it less efficient. Also, less developed countries may suffer from this tax, because they wont be able to afford it. There are of course alot of pros, but we also have to think of the cons.
i agree, the whole world isn't the same economy wise
I think Carbon Tax is a great idea! Maybe we don't have to start Globally with it but maybe nationally or even just in-state.
I think that carbon taxes on a national or even state/province level are better because they can be implemented in countries that can afford them.
I agree, but it should only apply to large corporations that have excessive carbon emissions and need to cut down. It would not be supported by the people if everyone was taxed just for emitting a reasonable, average amounts of carbon. Although the average could be cut back by a lot.
Ana- exactly! People don't like being taxed, and they can suffer (or think they suffer) from things such as a carbon tax. That's why it is usually proposed for corporations that have a major carbon footprint.
i think that a carbon tax would be a good idea because it makes people aware of how much they pollute and they wouldn't want to waste their money on more taxes. so the carbon tax would overall force people to produce less carbon into the air
I think this could be an issue for lower income people, who do not have the money to choose more efficient options. We should focus more on developing cheaper ways to reduce carbon impact.
I say yes to carbon tax because so many people are unaware of the issues we are having with climate change so this would make those people aware and help the Earth in the process.
i don't really agree at taxing humans for emitting co2, it is like taxing them because they breath, also almost every household in the usa and europe has at least one car, the proper (and more fare) would be to tax large factories and companies for their carbon emission
