Water Strategies

wl19

One thing that I am trying to do more often is to not leave the shower water running the entire time I am showering. For example, while you are washing your hair, you can turn the water off until you are ready to actually rinse your hair out.  Similar idea to not leaving the sink on while you brush your teeth. Another water strategy is to use cold water more frequently than hot/warm water. Waiting for water to heat up is wasteful, and cold water keeps things just as clean. Plus, for washing your face hands and/or body, cold water is better for your skin anyways (it tightens cuticles and pores).

I completely agree with you Liana. I myself have been trying to cut down on my water usage. If everyone were to use these strategies, the environment would be more sustainable, and there would be less droughts. Water is essential to life as a whole, not each individual life. The environment cannot change until we all do as a collective unit.

I agree that those are great ways to conserve water. My family also fills up the sink with water while washing dishing, instead of letting the water run the whole time and waits until the dish washer is completely full to run it. Small changes like that can conserve so much water.

Liana, I love this statement a lot. I absolutely agree with everything you're saying. My parents always tell me to use hot water, but I leave my water running for a few minutes. In my opinion, I like cold water much more than warm water.
However, I would like to add that while cold water tightens cuticles and pores, it always prevents a good clean feeling if you want to wash your face. My parents usually tell me to use warm water to open pores, wash your face, and then use cold water to close those pores.

This is really good I like how you put little details that we do on a daily bases and make it something we can change. Also, these are great beauty and health tips.
