Be mindful of paper waste

carlyhudson

68 million trees are used to produce paper every year. The US only has 5% of earth's population, but uses more than 30% of its paper. Reusing scrap paper is a great way to cut down on paper waste/usage. Also using less paper towels will help. Usually I use one paper towel then shake my hands till they're dry.

I agree. We should be discovering new ways on how to lower the eradication of trees.

Very true. Another way to cut down on paper waste is by working on the computer more. Schoology is a great resource to turn assignments in without wasting paper. Even though charging technological devices uses up power and electricity, we can dial back how much power we use by only charging phones or computers when completely necessary, like lower than 10%. Like Carly said reusing paper is a good way to be mindful of paper waste or only writing/drawing on a small portion of paper then sharing the other part with a neighbor/other student. These small things will eventually make a big difference.
