Earth Day

alina_

Today, the whole world celebrates the Earth Day. These is special day to helping for the earth. Is a way to demonstrate how much we care about the future of our planet. Each of us can make a small contribution to our nature. We can plant trees and make a bird feeder, at least one day to travel on public transport and travel by foot or bike, make a veggie day and much more. We will help our world in this wonderful holiday.
Make everyday Earth Day!

I agree, I think everyone should treat everyday like earth day. It REALLY IS THE LITTLE THINGS THAT HELP!!!! Just by putting something in the recycling you are saving just a little piece of the earth, because that is one less thing that will have to be made out of raw materials. Other small things that help include homegrown foods, turning the lights off when we leave the room, buying products made of recycled materials and buying products with less packaging. If everyone made as much effort to remember to care for the earth everyday instead of just on earth day the earth would be a much better place to live. I think part of the problem is that people are not in the habit of these “little things”. I feel as if kids where raised with the idea that we are here to protect the earth rather than the thought the earth is here to provide for us that people would be in more of the habit of taking care of the earth.

This is such a good point. Every little thing helps no matter if it is throwing a can in the recycling, or unplugging a charger while you are not using it. If everyone just did one small thing, it could make such a big difference. I also completely agree with your point about how children are raised. I think that it would help so much if teachers and parents taught children the things that they can do to help the earth rather than just telling them about the problems. I know that I have learned a lot about global warming and pollution in school, but I don't think I have ever had a real conversation about how I personally can help get rid those problems until this year.
