Rising Sea

Global warming is ever present although some don’t want to believe so. With sea acidification, melting glaciers, and wild fires there no doubt global warming is in full swing but some see it this way, "...we assume climate change will hit hardest elsewhere, not everywhere." says David Wells in "The Uninhabitable Earth" Although warm, rising water doesn’t seem to affect land animals like us it’s the exact opposite. Higher temperatures melt glaciers and warm the sea, both rising the sea level. By the end of the century the ocean could rise 38 inches swamping many east coast cities. And as the National Geographic states in “ Sea Level Rise” “More dire estimates, including a complete meltdown of the Greenland ice sheet, place sea level rise to 23 feet (7 meters), enough to submerge London.”
Not only will this affect just the coastal cities it will affect everyone. Destruction is undoubtedly present as well as much land being uninhabitable. Many will flock to d ifferent land overpopulating the already crowded spaces. Do you think people will work around the water by building houses not on the ground? What do you think is the biggest threat of global warming?
