Recycling is one of the most important things you can do to help save the environment, and lower air pollution. Just 2,000 pounds of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 350 gallons of oil, and lots of landfill space. If we can keep doing this, so many things will be saved. Half a million trees have to be cut down to make the newspaper each week. Recycling can conserve so much energy, and help emit less greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases are the main thing that causes global warming.
