True story: 718 flights with a SUPERSONIC AIRLINER!

cristian_pavel

It seems unreal to me that a man could travel 718 times with the most polluting means of transport. That's why I want to introduce more information about how the flights irreversibly affect our planet.

First, I would like to introduce Mr. Air Miles, the 71-year-old man who visited 139 countries! At the same time, he made a world record: *traveling three times, in the same day*, on a very high speed plane.

The biggest mistake of that person is, in fact, traveling, each time, only by plane. I have to admit that I traveled a lot, but I never flew. That made me know the landscapes better and memorize the road to the destination. In an article published by The New York Times, it is clearly stated why our planet is maximum polluted by air transport. (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/27/clim … rming.html)

- Many of us have no idea that *16.4 tonnes of carbon dioxide is released annually in the atmosphere*, which leads to an en ormous destabilization of the natural balance. This statistic is not only alarming, but we should realize that all that fuel is expelled entirely, directly to the most inappropriate part of the ecosystem. An atmosphere filled with chemicals is destabilized, so the natural balance is jeopardized.

- Perhaps it doesn't seem true, but driving is, compared to taking a plane, recommended. If you went with your family from one country to another, by car, you would pollute less than you would do with the plane (the number of passengers is divided). In addition, airline tickets are becoming more and more expensive.

- Fortunately, scientists are working on creating a natural fuel that would pollute three times less. A good news is that 190 countries are already agreeing on streamlining the air system by introducing biofuels.

_How often do you use the plane? Do you agree with Mr. Air Miles's records? I look forward with enthusiasm to all your answers._
