Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Ways to reduce your carbon footprint!

Me and my family have very low consumption of carbon footprint. But, it can always go lower. For example, me and my family surprisingly do not recycle. Its in our future plans to do so, thankfully, but even though we do not recycle, our carbon footprint lower than the average household.
Some of the things a regular family can do in there household to reduce your footprints is to recycle, power off all electricity that isn't being used, and to eat less meat. On the link provided, there are more tips you and your family can review so it can give you extra ideas on how to reduce your carbon footprint. Enjoy!

I like that you realize that you have a lower carbon footprint than average and still want to bring it down. That is a great attitude because you can make up for the people who go over their average carbon footprint for their region. Keep up the positive outlook!

My footprint was low as well, I also still think I need to bring it down. A lot of mine came from transportation and thats because I live a little ways from my school. A big way I could prevent mine could be to ride the bus to school and back.
