Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carpool your way to school

One of the biggest ways for our carbon footprint to escalate is our transportation. Our transportation can be reduced by carpooling, which not only helps our environment, but gives us chances to socialize. Carpooling also helps reduce traffic which will help reduce carbon emissions.

I agree with you Aurora.  I feel as though people should carpool more in order to reduce their Carbon Footprints, as that means less emissions released into the atmosphere.  If we begin the idea of carpooling among our friends, we can all lower our carbon footprints.
