Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Footprint

gaby77

My total footprint is 2999 kgs of CO2 per year, compared to
an average of 1954 kgs for Guatemala, and 3791 kg (= 8358 lb) worldwide. It shows me that I am over the average, so I want to raise awareness about how I can change these numbers in my transportation, food, and home habits, for being sure about these number could be less I will be making a better use about the things that can be recycled, but not only that because I think that I can develop my knowledge and with this make a project in benefit of my carbon footprint. I think carpooling is a great idea because If I can reduce my carbon footprint, more people will reduce their footprint. The important to reduce our footprint is try to spend less and produce more.
