Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

vegetable garden
Hi, i'm swiss and I have a vegetable garden(15x2 meters). It's not so big but we cultivate a lot of things like figs, tomatoes, parsley, basil,... We have also seven plants of grapevine. All this vegetable are better than the vegetable that you can buy in the supermarket. Maybe they are not so beautiful(people today eat only round and perfect fruit) but they are certainly more healthy and good. We make also marmalade of grapes that we can consume during all the year. So I think that if we would eat vegetable of their season we would reduce our carbon footprint because we wouldn't need the transport of vegetable that don't grow in our season. It is also boring eat all the year the same vegetables.
(sorry for my english)
Hi, I think that the idea of growing our own plants is amazing. Not only we'll make the planet a greener, healthier place, but also we could spend less money for fresh foods longterms! I had a vegetable garden and still can't believe how much it produced with just a bit of my effort. And it could seem impossible for some people to do because of the space needed, but actually is really easy. You can beginn by growing something small in a vase next to the window, and from that continue on the roof of the building or so, look at those for inspiration: [Image](//muut.com/u/footprint/s1/:footprint:QnZZ:image.jpeg.jpg) I love those things, hope you too!
