Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Transportation and Food
Hello, I live in Switzerland, Ticino. I have been my first "Student Footprints" and I have become frightened in seeing that. I was above average for food and transport. I don't use very much the public transport and I am too young to possess a car or a motorcycle, then I go everywhere with the feet. Then why am I greater in the average? I have understood that the transport with the airplane have a big footprint. In future I will be even more careful and will try to pollute less, but I will not renounce to travel, because I think that it should be one of the pleasures of the life. For the food I have taken my measures : the differentiated harvesting of the of the trash and I purchase only the food that I eat, now I do not throw null road.
