Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Car Trouble?

TroyCoaston

The biggest part of my carbon foot print was transportation which was almost  single handedly due my dinosaur of a car guzzling large amounts of gas so I decided to do some research in order to figure out how to cut down my gas usage. One of the easiest things is just to keep a clean car with an empty trunk and no extra goods inside. Keeping the weight down will save you on gas. Also taking off roof racks and rolling up the windows will save gas by reducing drag. Lastly driving at a reasonable speed rather than speeding will save on gas too. There a lot more ways to save gas and save the world, check out this page if you want to know more: http://www.flashfoods.com/readarticle.a … in-georgia
