Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

You have to commute by car and want to improve your carbon footprint?
This might sound like an insult but... Drive better! Studies have shown that, just by improving your driving habits, you can save up to 30% in fuel. What should you watch out for? Accelerate smoothly, drive the speed limit (speeding tickets are a pain in the neck anyways), mantain a steady speed. As for the mechanical side: keep your car tuned up and running efficiently, make sure your tires are properly inflated, replace your air filters periodically (increases kW aswell, haha) and if you use your car just for commuting, why not buying an energy efficient car, next time you change?
