Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Recycling

martinablajic

There are some ways for reduce the consume of CO2, they are very simple  and that we can perform everyday. One of this ways is the recycling. I and my family are recycling plastic, glass and paper. In fact the production of CO2 in my house from this point is little. I think that the recycling is really an efficient method for reduce the CO2 because it touches  most of the waste that we produce. Unfortunately it`s not a practice that all people take time for perform it because for they it`s not a valid or useful reason for the environment safeguard. For example everyday I see people that don`t throw the plastic bottles in the special containers or often they throw it on the ground. An other example is the battery that it be throw in basket. I think that for avoid the bottle`s problem we can use the same bottle a couple of time and throws it in the special containers.
