Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing carbon footprint
The carbon footprint of people are quite high .To reduce carbon footprint everyone should adopt different precautions like saving electricity, using public transport ,etc
Everyone can reduce their carbon footprint by changing their transportation, food, home, and purchasing habits. Air conditioning was a big part of my home category emission and might be yours too. Air conditioning really doesn't to be used all the time in my opinion. When it is just a little chilly you and your family members can put on coats and warmer clothes. By doing this you can reduce your carbon footprint and lower your air conditioning bill. According to US Energy, nearly 100 million homes in America have a air conditioner. If everyone would reduce their use, America average carbon footprint would be a lot lower.
My roomate and I live about 30 miles away from our school and recently we started our new semester and we've come to the realization that we could carpool to class and use half as much gas. I think this is a great and simple way of reducing our carbon printprint
