My Carbon Foot print
My Carbon Footprint is 13369 kgs of CO2 per year, compared to an average of 2338 kgs for China, and 3791 kg (= 8358 lb) worldwide. It's a dim result, and the result data of my transportation part is too high, so, I have to take public transportation when I go outsides.
My carbon footprint was actually very similar to yours, but I live in the United States, so it was actually below average for my region. I wouldn't say yours is a "dim" result. For a more developed country your footprint isn't that high, but because much of China is still rural the average is being skewed by these areas. The transportation category seems to be high for most people. I think taking public transportation is a good way to reduce it, though.
My results were very similar to yours. My region's score was 15,918 kgs, and my score was higher than that due to my amount of transportation. It really made me start thinking about ways to reduce my carbon footprint. We could maybe take public transportation, or maybe even carpool. I would also recommend getting a fuel efficient car and using energy efficient lighting in your house. Also, we should try to turn lights and water off in our homes to reduce energy use. I like how you have decided to start using public transportation as an alternative to using automobiles as they expend the most energy for you, very similar to myself. Its also staggering to see how your footprint is compared to my footprint. My footprint is around 20,000kg which is nearly 7,000 kg higher than yours. Along with that while there are areas in the US that seem to be similar to yours, there are several that I have found, such as mine, that are much higher than yours.
I think that your decision to start using public transport will help reduce your transportation footprint, my name is Dylan and I had a carbon footprint that was hight than that of my region, and my highest area was transportation also. Now I try to walk or drive as little as possible in hope or reducing my totals.
