But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Climate change is problem in the modern world and over the years the climate has been changing rapidly, however we tend to come to the question, who is causing climate change? Humans are believed to be the major source of climate change due to man made facilities such as factories, building, cars, power plants etc.
I think that your question of "who causes climate change" is essential for the entire subject. Sure there are factories and other aspects of infrastructure that produce harmful pollutants, but that does not necessarily mean humans have CAUSED global warming. The EPA, a federal agency in the United States that focuses on protecting the environment, has stated that global warming has occurred in history, but not to the levels we see today. Thus, I see how humans do influence the levels of global warming but I still do not see how this phenomena initiated.
