The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Climate Change is Real - We Need to Learn How to Stop It
Climate change is a natural process, but humans are affecting it. Scientists and members of the IPCC have done research and reports including evidence which shows that humans are the main cause of climate change. The fossil fuel industry, the release of greenhouse gases, deforestation, and things that humans do like using electricity and methods of transportation all release large amounts of CO2 into the air. The effects that this has on the Earth is extreme. CO2 that goes into the oceans can damage and slow the growth of organisms. CO2 causes ice to melt, which melts into the ocean and rises the sea level. This can cause flooding in cities which is dangerous.
It is obvious that humans and the things we do are affecting climate change. However, most of the public doesn't know enough about climate change, or doesn't care enough to do something about it. Climate change has also become a huge political issue about money. People who work for the fossil fuel industry pay scientists and people who work for the government to deny that climate change is caused by humans. This is so they can keep their jobs, because the burning of fossil fuels has a bad effect on the Earth. Overall, our main focus should not be money and keeping companies in business. Instead, we should be focusing on the importance of helping the environment and decreasing the amount of pollution that we cause. If we don't do something about the way we treat the Earth, there will be extreme consequences in the future. We need to learn how to fix the situation that we've caused.
