Food
Having strawberries in the winter takes a lot of carbon emissions to get here... What can consumers do to limit the amounts of food being outsourced?
consumers can't do anything about it. It would be up to the companies to change the way they ship things
Or you could try to eat seasonal foods as much as possible. Or at least try to eat foods from Washington.
People say that buying local food, organic food and seasonal food is better for the environment, which I completely agree with. The problem is though, that a lot of families don't have that option because those kinds of foods are a lot more expensive. Do you think that getting money for familes to buy that kind of food is the priority? Or should we put that money towards a different issue like finding more energy efficient cars?
