As I have been learning in class the past couple of weeks, our Earth is becoming a home for greenhouse gases. Over the past 40 years, climate change has increased severely and is affecting us and the Earth in many ways. First of all, the most obvious reason, is that the Earth is heating up drastically. I feel from what we have been discussing these past weeks that humans are the main cause of climate change. We haven't been enforcing the "reduce, reuse, and recycle" rule as much as we should, in my opinion. I think the reason people in the U.S have started recycling more in these past few years is because we are starting to realize how bad this problem is. We have started enforcing regulations to help "heal Mother Earth", like, in my town, how we have completely stopped using plastic bags in stores, and you are now forced to pay 10 cents per paper bag if you want one. The goal of this new law is to make customers reuse their own bags, and if they don't want to do that, use the better-alternative, a paper bag, as opposed to the plastic bag.

Our Earth will never be the wa y that it was. Even if all the people on Earth decide to do their share to reduce carbon dioxide levels, we will never be able to undo all the damage already done. It is unfixable. Although irreversible, we all need to "reduce, reuse, and recycle" so as to slow down future damage to our only Earth.  There are many things we could do to help make the world a better place. If we reduced our carbon footprint by using less energy, recycling and reusing more, and using less electricity, it would help that process. Small acts of kindness add up, and if we all tried to do those acts for Earth, I think the results would be miraculous.

I completely agree with your statements. Humans have contributed to climate change immensely. We have cut down forests, and caused almost all the factors relating to climate change. If we start enforcing "reduce, reuse, and recycle" and actually following it, we would decrease climate changing factors. If we planted more trees the CO2 levels would drop because plants breath in CO2 and release oxygen. Trees only benefit us because they give us clean air, sometimes food, and they're shelters to many animals. So, why not plant more? To stop our Earth from getting dangerously hot we have to reduce our carbon footprint. To do this, we have to use everything in our power to stop wasting so much energy. If we come together as a whole we can accomplish our goals, save the melting glaciers, reduce wildfires, and lower ocean acidification.

I agree with you Emma, Humans are the major cause of climate change right now. Yes our planet naturally changes, it heats and cools down, but we humans are just making it worse. We emit way too much greenhouse chemicals everyday, we cut down tress; taking away our clean air and taking away the habitats of many species. We need to start recycling more and composting as well as finding ways to reuse. People should realize more of how drastically changing and should start taking charge. It may not be easy to make a world wide change but it is easy to make changes in your household. Climate change is killing the bio diversity of the planet. From here it can only get worse if we don't change now.

I agree with what everyone has said most significantly that people have not embraced the "reduce, reuse, and recycle". Yes we have enforced recycling and reusing but I feel many countries like the US are a little too late. For example stores where I live are just now banning all plastic bags and charging 10 cents for paper bags while countries like Germany made that reform ages ago. The US and a few other countries are the central home of the deniers of climate change and global warming who believe it has nothing to do with human activity. When in actuality when they are presented with the facts and evidence it really has everything to do with human activity and it's not just natural fluctuation. I also agree that the faster we take action in reducing our footprint the better.
