But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Another View: Climate Change Does Not Exist
It is generally accepted that global warming is, in fact, real, though the cause is controversial. However, there is an idea that is not heard, nor shared, by very many; that global warming and climate change does not exist. There are various views in this argument; the most popular of which is that “It [global warming] has been based on little more than extrapolated temperatures and spurious charts. …we have experienced a slight warming trend. Other people build off this by adding that the past 17 years have had practically the same temperatures. Yet another point is that global cooling, the opposite of global warming, was widely accepted in the 1970’s as temperatures seemed to drop. As soon as temperatures rose, global warming took its place. This is used to show that just because the general consensus does not make something true. These are only a few of the many possible arguments for this topic. We should consider all possibilities when looking at a problem. Just as it is possible that climate change is due to natural or artificial causes, climate change may also not exist.
