I feel like global warming is very much real but, there's nothing we can do about it. Where I live, it used to be an ocean. Now it is all dried up. THE WORLD CHANGES!!  Maybe in a 100 years San Francisco will be covered by water. Technically we can slow it down by the Brazilians keep burning forests down. Thats there country we cant do anything about it. Most of It has nothing to do with humans. Global Warming is mostly a bunch of gibberish made up by the liberals.

it is very real, there is much scientific evidence and proof supporting it. And there is also proof that a large portion of it, not all, but a large portion of it is caused by co2 and other greenhouse gas emissions.

Did you know that humans also breathe co2? Also Brazil wont stop what they are doing.

No, what we need to do is _reduce_ our CO2 production. This can be done by a wide variety of energy-efficient systems which are scientifically possible and are being used in certain situations. The problem is that we can't actually get funding for these projects because of the horrible debts which we have incurred, compiled with the greed of the multinational corporations who allow this to keep happening. If they actually truly adopted green practices, a large part of the economy might collapse! What I'm saying is that we have the resources to return to a manageable CO2 level. The problem is the corporations who won't let go of profits for the good of the people.

But I do agree with you in some ways. We _are_ headed towards destruction. The world *is changing*. San Fran probably will be flooded in the next millennium. I don't see our course diverging from this path as we are conducting it now.

While it is true that the planet does fluctuate and change all the time, you must also realize that if you look at the big picture, there has been an increase in global temperature and the amount of atmospheric greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. According to a graph of ice core data used by NASA, there has been a rapid increase of the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/) , which began with the start of the Industrial Revolution. With the invention of machinery and production techniques, factories began more common. These factories began releasing high levels of carbon dioxide and other emissions which began trapping heat in the atmosphere. If you look at the graph, it is true that the amount of gases fluctuates, but it is now at an all time high- which coincided with the beginning of human made factories. In my mind, there is no doubt that climate change is very much real, and it is caused by humans.

I agree with a few of the things you said, but disagree with some things as well. I agree that global warming is a real thing, that the world changes, and that humans take a part in global warming. I disagree with the point that we can't do anything and that we are only a small part of it. If humans were only a small part of it, then why has the carbon dioxide levels risen drastically since the industrial revolution? Carbon dioxide levels have never been as high as they are today, and I believe that this is directly caused by humans. However, I do feel that it is very difficult for us to reverse and change the impact that we have done to our planet, but I still feel that it is possible and we need to work towards that direction. The general scientific consensus is that if the global temperature rises by 2 degrees Celsius, then there will be drastic negative impacts on our world. We are already at 0.8 degrees Celsius higher, and if no measures are taken, then we will reach a point of no return very quickly.
